Accidentally fired bullet injures Delhi Police constable

New Delhi, March 19 (CNST): A Delhi Police constable was injured when he was
hit by a bullet accidentally fired by his colleague, police said Sunday.

The incident took place around 8 p.m. Saturday when they were sitting in a
Police Control Room (PCR) van near Qutub Minar in South Delhis Mehruali
area.

Anil, the driver of the PCR van, is being treated at the All India
Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

According to a senior officer, three policemen, Niranjan Lal, Jagdev, and
Anil were sitting inside the PCR van when the incident occurred.

Anil was injured with the bullet fired from Jagdevs Insas rifle. An FIR has
been registered against Jagdev, said the officer.
